Dr.Thomas K Chacko is one of the finest ophthalmologist from Kerala specialising in micro-incisional vitrectomy surgery (25G and 27G), Rhegmatogenous Retinal Reattachment surgery, Diabetic vitrectomy, Macular hole surgery and Retinopathy of pre-maturity.
He has completed his MBBS, MS (Ophthalmology), DO and is Fellow of Vitreo-Retinal surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital in Coimbatore,Tamilnadu,Due to his outstanding and consistent performance,Dr.Chacko was honoured with Dr.Joseph Gananadickam Gold Medal during his MS (Ophthalmology) in 2005 for ‘Best outgoing student’.
Dr.Chacko is now working as Cheif and head of Vitreo Retinal Services at Amardeep Eye Care, Trivandrum,Kollam and visiting surgeon to Shankar Eye Hospital Punalur.

Nigin Philipose is a Business Development Executive with Bausch and Lomb, Kerala region, and a highly experienced optometry educator and healthcare administrator. He previously served as Vice Principal at Chaithanya Institute of Optometry and Vision Sciences, Trivandrum, and as General Manager at Trinity Eye Hospital, Palakkad.

An alumnus of Elite School of Optometry, Chennai, and Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, he holds multiple qualifications including Masters in Clinical Psychology, Hospital Administration (MBA), Masters in Optometry and Fellowship in British Dispensing Optics (FBDO). He has been a member of IACLE for 14 years.

Nigin Philipose has also worked as Vice Principal at Al Rayhan College and Al-Salama College of Optometry, and currently serves as an Advisor to the Kerala Optometrists Association and as a member of the Advisory Board of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Calicut University Optometry programs contributing to syllabus development.

With over 15 years of teaching and licensing exam training experience, his core teaching areas include Contact Lenses, Dispensing Optics, and Refraction. He actively mentors optometry students and fresh graduates across Kerala and is deeply passionate about empowering optometry youth to achieve their professional goals.

Mr. Abdul Majeed is a respected alumnus of Comtrust Eye Hospital, Calicut, with over 20 years of experience in the field of dispensing optics. He currently serves as the Regional Head - Kerala at Delta Lens Pvt. Ltd. – (Nikon - Essilor Luxottica), a position he has held for the past 13 years.

He began his career as a Consultant Optometrist at GKB Optolab, where his performance quickly led to a promotion as Showroom Manager. He then moved to Vision Rx Lab, where he worked as a Lens Consultant for six years, further deepening his expertise in the optical industry.

Widely known in Kerala’s optical and optometry circles, Mr. Majeed has built a strong professional reputation. He currently serves as the State Treasurer of the Indian Optometrists Association – Kerala.

In addition to his corporate and association roles, Mr. Majeed is a renowned trainer, content creator, and influential leader, known for his ability to mentor professionals and drive awareness in the eye care sector.

Has published many papers in Indian and International journals and keen to share the knowledge with all concerned.Played a key role in establishing progressive lenses in India and neighbour countries.
A team leader with progressive mindset to nurture young talents and mentoring the young Optoms in the organisation and Outside.
